This is my first time participating in the Random Dozen Meme from a wonderful blogger at 2nd cup of Coffee (see link under picture).

1. Are you pleasant when you're ill or are you a grumpy, fussy patient?

I would like to think I am patient.. tend to get a little mopey but that's not an option here..

2. When you find out that school is canceled (due to inclement weather) what is your gut reaction?

Not Fair, why cant WORK be cancelled!!

3. What is one domestic skill you wish you could improve?

CLEANING!!!

4. Do you decorate your home for Valentine's Day?

Sometimes my front door... but no energy to do it this year bah humbug.. Wait wrong holiday !?!

5. What song is on your mind today?

It's a chorus that goes (((He who began a good work in you, He who began a good work in you.. Is faithful to complete it. Faithful to complete it. He who started the work will be faithful to complete it in you.)) It based on the scripture that states the same thing that GOD will finish what He has begun in our lives.

6. Do you prefer contemporary movies or classic?

Probably the classics or the older movies where chivalry, romance, and morality were more prevalent.

7. How well do you "compartmentalize" your feelings?

For example, how well can you put aside a really trying moment to deal with the immediate situation which is not related to the trying moment, e.g., putting aside a tiff with your spouse in order to finish wallpapering a room.

Well I am not married so I can easily let my feelings out when home, but I tend to keep them in most the time. I hate when I share them and then someone uses them to make hurtful comments or remarks.. I think it could be a pride thing too.. Don't want to reveal to much..

8. What is the first thing that attracted you to your spouse? (Or if you're single, to your best friend.)

I am single still so it will have to be my best friend. She was the first one to follow through and teach this old lady (29 at the time) to drive. The fact we both love southern gospel music , coffee, fireworks, nature, photography and JESUS is what keeps us friends still.

9. When was the last time your heart raced?

Lately all the time.. Out of breath..

10. What are your memories of Valentine's Day at school?

Not so much at school, but LOVED picking which valentine to give to who...

11. If you were going to receive candy for Valentine's Day, which would you prefer?

Chocolates with Nuts.. yummmoooo

12. Red or pink?
PINK most definitely

10 things I love beginning with the Letter R:

1. Red Sauce-- or spaghetti sauce.. Love it!

2. Rain pattering on the window or roof... Love the sound of it. Much better than freezing rain.

3. Radio-- Love listening to my favorite radio station Family Life Network and they are online too... http://www.fln.org/

4. Reality TV-- I love Survivor, Amazing Race and TLC shows.

5. Right Winged Politicians.. hows that for a mouth full.

6. REST-- how could I forget this. I love the down time on the weekends to rest and love to have my Saturdays be my day in. Especially in the winter time, I truly relish staying in, wrapped in a blanket typing away at my keyboard.

7. Rhyming- I like to write poetry, especially when it rhymes. My grandmother was a wonderful poet and writer. My inspiration.

8. Roses -- have not gotten any from anyone special though...

9. Rays of Sunshine -- especially reflecting on the water. How I miss sitting at the park and looking at the water.. Now snow covered and off limits..

10. Rules-- actually I like rules for the most part. It gives me structure and I think I flourish that way. Maybe it's from living with strict parents and going to a christian high school and college that had LOTS OF RULES.....

QUESTION of the WEEK:

What are you currently doing (or can start to do) to put the focus of Christmas on Jesus?

I try and put God into my Christmas cards. I try and end them with either God bless or May God bless you and yours. I also try and never write or say Merry X-mas.. for there is no X in CHRIST!! You do not need to be preachy to share the real reason for the season. Just put it out there in your decorating, card sharing and speech.

1. Black and White or Color; how do you prefer your movies?
It will have to be color. I have a hard enough time seeing things at least in color they are more bolder to see.


2. What is the one single subject that bores you to near-death?
Hmmm.. I like to think that I am versed in most things. This is really hard for me. I can only think of one thing that bores and frustrates me. That's talking to someone who only wants to talk about themselves.


3. MP3s, CDs, Tapes or Records: what is your favorite medium for prerecorded music?
CD's at home and work and tapes in my car. Yes I still have a tape player.. I'm truly old school there. LOL


4. You are handed one first class trip plane ticket to anywhere in the world and ten million dollars cash. All of this is yours provided that you leave and not tell anyone where you are going ever. This includes family, friends, everyone. Would you take the money and ticket and run?
Wow I could think of what to spend the money on, but would have no enjoyment as I would worry about my family too much..

I think the next election is an important issue.


6. How would you rectify the world's most pressing issue?
VOTE VOTE VOTE and truly find out the values and stands of all the candidates. and PRAY PRAY PRAY


7. You are given the chance to go back and change one thing in your life; what would that be?
GO back to college and socialize more .. LoL (christian college ya'll) I worked a lot and was a lil' shy. Oh and get better grades.

I am somewhat of a believer in what's meant to be happens. But there is free will. Lets see before I get carried away here. :D Well there is one president I could have done without in the oval office.... hmmm.

Do not know what this one is about as it's a bit before me.. He's wrong about hell.. and I do not want to do any immoral activity period. Not a fan of this question
