Before I go hopping... I must post my own blog !

So before I go blog hopping on the latest Bead Soup Swap, I have told myself I must post my latest update!! For I know once I am hopping on all the blogs I soooo wont want to write my post, but will be inspired to make more Jewelry!!

Here are some of my latest pieces......

I made this mother's bracelet for a dear friend who just had her sixth baby! God bless her!!

So out of my element but I LOVE IT!

This has "ME" written all over it!

These are so whimsical and fun--even with the paperclips holding them up. :)

I've finally did a few pieces of jewelry for myself and am loving to show them off when I wear them. Now off to the blog hop!

~My Newest Creations~

Crocheting wire has been my newest jewelry addiction--well perhaps not an addiction yet! I love taking classes on different jewelry making styles and don't get to very often. This particular class I came upon very last minute and was so glad I did.

It's gotten me into making jewelry again.. Kind of took a break after all my Christmas projects. Below is a simple bracelet I've made for a friend who's been going through some difficulties. It's larger than my style, but I think it will go with her style. One of things I'm learning in making jewelry for others, it does take you away from what you naturally think is attractive. Not that I don't think the gifts I made are not pretty, but it's not where I would have gone color/style wise if it was for me. The necklace I started for someone else, but fell in love with and well it's now mine!!!

The one thing in all these pieces is there is no wire-wrapping! Which is rare for me!! I tend to revert back to wire-wrapping as it's been my true love.. Perhaps I'm stretching my artistic ability.. OK that made me laugh.. I hope you enjoyed my "NEWEST CREATIONS"

Somethings in the air?

~~INSPIRATION~~

So I have had quite the jewelry inspiration as of late, many lovely pieces have been created and my house is still a mess... But did I say there have been some lovely inspirational jewelry made!! Here's a few -- and no pictures from the messy house.

I have had this sea glass for awhile and was waiting for some inspiration--I love sea glass!

This is the back end of the necklace. This is the first time I have used different connections (jump rings, wire wrapping, rings and chains) I am so wanting to try and learn more. Variety has been intimidating to me - I am trying to step out of my comfort zone. Perhaps fabric is next.....

A little different view. I like that the seed beads don't distract from my favorite part the sea glass focal.

My favorite piece I have made so far!!
My co worker's son came down with some serious illnesses and they were coordinating a benefit for him. I decided to donate some jewelry for their auction. Here are some of the pieces I have made for them.

Love the purple/gold bead that compliments the citrine color beads.

Love the butterflies!

Used Green cat's eye beads for this bracelet/anklet.

Loved the heart closure--fitting as we are having a heart for this sick young man

These are two elastic stranded bracelets that are connected and can be worn side by side or wrapped.

EEKS I free handed the hoops!!

Something a little fishy...

Made two separate earring/bracelet sets here. Pink/Pearl and Purple/Pearl

Hope you enjoyed my inspirations!

A shout out, new designs and a blog hoppin' lady

WOW~ is all I can say when I visited this designer who participated in the recent Bead Soup Party. Check out Daisychain designs necklace made with a sea urchin pendant.
(click on the link below)

I have been so inspired by all the lovely designs from such a talented "bowl" of ladies soup.

I have been blog hopping and still haven't reached 100 yet. There are over 300 blogs/sites to visit and I plan to visit them all. Sadly my computer will not let me visit some and knocks me off. This saddens me but I keep sampling and the soup I have tasted is delicious!!

There are so many different styles, some I have never seen and some are way beyond my realm of vision. I have always been real streamlined in my designs and tend to be matchy-matchy. My matchy matchiness came out when I took a class on
making bracelets with old buttons. (ok I made up a few words here but dont know how else to describe me)

Why I tried to match all my buttons Phew... tough job!! I say this to say I am challenged with seeing all the asymmetrical designs I have viewed. Designs that are not matchy-matchy or do not have mirrored images on each side of the necklace. Could I do that? Can I step out of my "set designing eyes"? I hope so... Perhaps some day.. Anyone else struggle in this area??

~Now some djdeb designs~

My local bead store owner said these were painted shells.

I was hoping to get a closer picture of their pretty color. I don't tend to string beads as much but wire wrapping these lovely beads--I couldn't do it. Wanted to see them in all their glory!!

I am so not Gothic, but I love these Gothic crosses. I am particular when it comes to crosses and don't like real flashy ones. Perhaps because the cross means more to me than piece of jewelry... I was pleased to see how these turned out and they are inspirational when I wear them.

When I promised a piece of jewelry to a lady from church, I was not overjoyed when she said RED was her color of choice.. Seriously... Well it turned out better than this picture did. and I hope she liked it. I really liked wire wrapping with the thicker wire--especially the way it looks..

So until next time, happy beading!!

some of my new designs...

My first attempt at Chain Maille--it looks gold but it's actually silver. I am so loving this new jewelry style.

This is a copper and black chain maille design I soooo wish this turned out better. Momma really liked this so it now belongs to Momma. I can't say no to that lady :)

I have wanted so long to try and use these tear drop stones and saw a similar design at my local bead studio. Wow those seed beads can be so small!
New way to close them and I love it. To me it's very feminine..

Well I hope you enjoyed my latest designs......
